SSY recently collaborated in a styled-elopement-shoot that turned into a real-life engagement! It was nothing short of MAGICAL!
We wanted everyone to see the results of this incredible day and even share words from Gabrielle, this NEW WIFE-TO-BE!

How did you and John meet?
John and I met completely randomly through a mutual friend. When I arrived at our friend's house, John saw me and walked straight to the refrigerator because he didn't know what to say to me! Later that night, he asked for my number and began calling me in the days to come. We started dating about a month after that.
How did you two get involved with the styled shoot?
John and I have a friend who is interning under Jessica, the wedding planner involved in the shoot. Our friend, Miranda, said they were looking for an "in love couple" to model for the pictures. A few friends jokingly nominated us to do it, but I seriously wanted to. The little girl in me that always wanted to model was coming out. So I asked John if he would do it with me, and once he agreed, he secretly planned to do the proposal during the shoot.
Can you explain how John proposed?
John and I were modeling for the styled-elopement-shoot, which took place at a beautiful waterfall. For the first part of the shoot, John and I were separated while they took photos of the dress I was wearing. As soon as I joined him next to the waterfall, the photographer told me to place my hand on John's cheek. This was apparently the "code word," so John pulled out the ring and knelt down on one knee! I was so overwhelmed I don't even remember what he said. In addition to that, John had planned surprises for the rest of the day including my mom and sister meeting us for lunch and all of my friends throwing me a party at my house that evening!
What was your favorite thing about the SSY gown featured in this shoot?
The SSY dress I wore for the shoot was absolutely gorgeous! I felt like a princess in a fairytale while wearing it. It is simple and elegant, and I especially loved the lace design on the top. I think it is the perfect dress for an outdoor wedding or an elopement!
What were you thinking after the proposal?
I was completely surprised- at first when I saw him pull out a ring box I thought it was some part of the photo shoot. But when he knelt down I knew it was real and immediately started crying. I was overwhelmed with joy, and John had to hold me up because my whole body was shaking!
Congratulations to the future Mr. & Mrs. Wilson!
We are so honored to have been apart of this happy + beautiful engagement!
